Investing.com – France equities were mixed at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the Construction & Materials, Foods & Drugs and Industrial Transportation sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.01%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 1.85% or 1.90 points to trade at 104.80 at the close. Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) added 1.04% or 0.39 points to end at 37.99 and Danone SA (EPA:DANO) was up 0.90% or 0.54 points to 60.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which lost 1.10% or 0.23 points to trade at 20.63 in late trade. Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) declined 0.94% or 0.14 points to end at 14.75 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) shed 0.82% or 0.51 points to 61.62.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Biomerieux SA (EPA:BIOX) which rose 5.59% to 103.90, Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which was up 3.99% to settle at 4.54 and SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) which gained 3.19% to close at 19.09.
The worst performers were Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which was down 3.12% to 71.45 in late trade, Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which lost 2.84% to settle at 8.20 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 2.74% to 0.83 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 247 to 218 and 116 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.13% or 28.80 to $2,518.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.79% or 1.29 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.80% or 1.37 to trade at $77.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 101.34.
