Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.34% or 60.0 points to trade at 2625.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 0.72% or 70.0 points to end at 9850.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 0.69% or 60.0 points to 8760.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p), which lost 1.93% or 25.0 points to trade at 1270.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 1.53% or 0.4 points to end at 25.8 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 1.04% or 180.0 points to 17120.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.48% or 0.59 to $121.08 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.09% or 2.00 to hit $2217.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.00% or 13.30 to trade at $1319.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.71% to 2860.15, while BRL/COP fell 0.01% to 880.34.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 90.27.
