Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 3.49% or 60.0 points to trade at 1780.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 3.23% or 115.0 points to end at 3680.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 2.32% or 65.0 points to 2865.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which lost 1.74% or 300.0 points to trade at 16980.0 in late trade. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) declined 1.46% or 15.0 points to end at 1015.0 and Etb (CN:ETB) shed 0.78% or 2.0 points to 254.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.48% or 2.55 to $105.30 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.24% or 30.00 to hit $2380.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.50 to trade at $1285.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.91% to 3151.20, while BRL/COP fell 0.46% to 848.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 95.502.
