Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.97% or 90.0 points to trade at 3120.0 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) added 1.03% or 380.0 points to end at 37180.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 2.58% or 640.0 points to 25440.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 5.28% or 44.0 points to trade at 790.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 1.61% or 540.0 points to end at 33080.0 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) shed 0.43% or 60.0 points to 14000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.25% or 0.30 to $120.42 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.04% or 26.00 to hit $2522.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.40 to trade at $1301.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.59% to 2877.50, while BRL/COP fell 2.36% to 770.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 94.06.
