Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 5.03% or 75.0 points to trade at 1565.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 1.51% or 240.0 points to end at 16180.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 0.81% or 260.0 points to 32240.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which lost 1.45% or 300.0 points to trade at 20460.0 in late trade. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) declined 0.96% or 380.0 points to end at 39100.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 0.88% or 25.0 points to 2805.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.28% or 0.35 to $124.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 2.13% or 44.50 to hit $2131.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.78% or 9.94 to trade at $1269.06 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.67% to 3015.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.14% to 915.74.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.12% at 94.58.
