Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which rose 1.67% or 20.0 points to trade at 1220.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 1.35% or 460.0 points to end at 34660.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 1.20% or 320.0 points to 26940.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 1.53% or 6.0 points to trade at 385.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.33% or 920.0 points to end at 68060.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 1.05% or 100.0 points to 9400.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.48% or 0.56 to $116.22 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.39% or 35.50 to hit $2521.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.20 to trade at $1269.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.13% to 2952.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.57% to 783.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 94.50.
