Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.55% or 35.0 points to trade at 2290.0 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 0.86% or 160.0 points to end at 18660.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 0.81% or 10.0 points to 1245.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which lost 3.70% or 680.0 points to trade at 17720.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.93% or 1140.0 points to end at 58060.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 1.15% or 140.0 points to 12000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 12 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.07% or 1.50 to $141.88 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.13% or 4.00 to hit $2996.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1366.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.91% to 3082.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.48% to 965.79.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 95.73.
