Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB), which rose 1.78% or 1.15 points to trade at 65.90 at the close. Aedifica (EBR:AOO) added 1.76% or 1.10 points to end at 63.50 and Sofina (EBR:SOF) was up 0.92% or 2.00 points to 220.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Umicore SA (EBR:UMI), which lost 3.24% or 0.34 points to trade at 10.15 in late trade. Aperam SA (AS:APAM) declined 2.61% or 0.62 points to end at 23.14 and Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) shed 2.16% or 1.56 points to 70.54.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 58 to 32 and 15 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.63% or 15.90 to $2,527.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.26% or 1.56 to hit $67.59 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.26% or 1.64 to trade at $71.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.20.
