Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which rose 2.73% or 1000 points to trade at 37600 at the close. Poalim (TA:POLI) added 2.50% or 51 points to end at 2093 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 2.04% or 29 points to 1451 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 1.71% or 1200 points to trade at 68830 in late trade. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 0.72% or 1.9 points to end at 261.1 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 0.65% or 23 points to 3496.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 213 to 150 and 84 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.95% or 0.86 to $45.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.90% or 0.42 to hit $47.25 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.14% or 1.85 to trade at $1329.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.7652, while EUR/ILS fell 0.05% to 4.1966.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 95.82.
