Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Discount (TA:DSCT), which rose 0.40% or 2.7 points to trade at 680.6 at the close. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) added 0.35% or 13 points to end at 3768 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 0.28% or 100 points to 35590 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 1.34% or 52 points to trade at 3816 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 0.95% or 780 points to end at 81720 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) shed 0.82% or 13 points to 1573.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 180 to 163 and 95 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.92% or 0.85 to $43.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.71% or 0.79 to hit $45.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.72% or 9.55 to trade at $1321.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.08% to 3.8460, while EUR/ILS rose 0.02% to 4.2206.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 97.48.
