Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 4.20% or 5.80 points to trade at 144.00 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) added 2.54% or 4.8 points to end at 193.5 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 2.52% or 2.70 points to 109.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which lost 1.55% or 3.1 points to trade at 196.9 in late trade. Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) declined 0.75% or 1.7 points to end at 225.0 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) shed 0.12% or 0.3 points to 239.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 291 to 152 and 5 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.28% or 0.13 to $45.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.64% or 1.74 to hit $49.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.26% or 2.90 to trade at $1124.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.28% to 9.4073, while USD/SEK fell 0.32% to 8.4177.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 96.01.
