Good morning Uk100 to open higher test and hold of 8190/80 will retest 8230 hold here will aim @ 8249/81 any loss of 8155 will set it back to new lows and atest of 8100 Expectation is for a green settlement today As always trade both side of price action Good Luck

The issue is not so much higher chance of rate cut, more that jobs are week, and hence recession is coming. Also US2yr-10Yr un-inverted today!

Numbers lower than expected. Not a huge miss....market has rallied gently on the probability of a 50bps cut. Think that is misplaced, personally. Interesting session into the weekend

Predicting Wall ST will drag the FTSE down to 8140 and below..... scary times!!! just took a 110 points lost at £20 per point:( hoping to get back some of my loses before the end of the session.

Morning. We come to the main event of the week. NFP. Anything but a big miss below the expected 160k should be positive for equities as the US markets have given themselves a bit of headroom for a pop upwards this week.

ie they will either go up or down.....ha......the numbers will definitely give it initial direction. Whether it can hold a rally is perhaps a valid question.

I see a couple of scenarios here. If we get a positive number above 160k the market will rally hard (it may sell off into the close). If we get a sizeable miss on the downside the market will fall and then rally hard into the close - probably finishing positive for the day as yields fall and 50bps cut become likely (although I don't expect the Fed to cut 50)
