Evening All - Just to update - My earlier hedging Long from 7054.03 - was closed at 7073. My Short from 7082.30 has closed at  7055. Which leaves me with my single Short opened this morning at 7033 - I'm hoping this will close at 6991.30 .

Im still leaving mine. Ive said for the last 2 days 7050-7080 tops and we did overshoot slightly but its fitted in perfectly. I did also call 7040 as the pullback. I hope a few took note at the very least

I want to add Dow does not need to rise to reflect The rise in European indices as its all ready light years ahead  Hence its doing it to please.

When I say the Dow is rising as subservient to Ftse dax my comment got 6 thumbs down. Well let me explain  What I mean that Dow is acting like a call gal!  Well basically Dow was looking to fall all morning  Now it’s turned around to the same magnitude  To reflect the rise in euro indices having seen Ftse dax cac up around one per cent. I know the thumbs down is the from the die hard  Believers that surely everything else follows Dow. Well not always the case the Dow Nasdaq are also  Sometimes followers and doing what the market pleases Hence call gal!

I've just watched something interesting, he says that Richard Nixon in the 70's ****all over the FTSE and broke promises to Britain, the FTSE has punished US markets ever since, hence the long term American decline. wether its true or not I dont know

Weird one today - I traded badly but got lucky and made more money than I did yesterday, when I traded very nicely.... It's an odd business.  Picked up a lot of shorts in the 660's range on DAX so my avg is feeling good right now and I'm hoping to see 420 again there for 200 pips-ish.  Who knows where ftse and dax go to now - could be 15800 and 7150, could be 15100 and 6850. Let's see.  I think a really bad blood red day is around the corner at some point soon.

I guess the slightly larger movements probably helped. If your the right side of them, even a rubbish entry can turn profitable quickly...Id love to see a big red day but im not sure its tommorow. The only thing to cause a BIG red day is inflation / tapering stuff because Covid deaths arent high. However its unlikely the FED are going to drop a bombshell only 2 days after their meeting notes were released. IMO you have got to wait until perhaps end of sep / Oct for a big one. Will be trips back down to 6900 between now and then though.

I will add shorts above 90 and at 10 point increments as I genuinely see it as buying money. There is absolutely no chance that this doesn't drop back to 7040 at a minimum in the next 3 sessions.

7115 is the trendline resistance on day chart. price should reach around there before pull back or fall. break above would be a new trend.

7100 incomming. Even poor data across the pond hasnt halted the surge. Some days when markets want to go up, nothing will stop them. If 7100 breaks, the door is open to 7120 with no resistance.

chris chapman  IMO 1 big 15 to give you more wiggle room - or 10 if you can't take the pain.  Suggest mental SL if you're able to actively watch the position but you'll have to be strict with yourself to keep to the plan,

Chris, might be best to wait until the US open. It often swings more than 15 pips in the first few seconds, just to go back the other way again.
