The company was formerly known as Yichang Changjiang Pharmaceutical Company Limited and changed its name to YiChang HEC ChangJiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in May 2015. The company was incorporated in 2001 and is based in Yichang, China. YiChang HEC ChangJiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of Sunshine Lake Pharma Co., Ltd.
