The shorts are very clearly coming under pressure vis a vis the shift in energy policy across the EU in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. And whilst the recent run up to 234 in early March was a typical hysterical reacion (by the market makers) - recent results from the Dutch company Sif were promising vis a vis the broader health of the market. Interims due 4 May may put the short sellers under more pressure.
