Ruffer Investment Company Limited is a Guernsey-based closed-end investment company. The Company's principal objective is to achieve a positive total annual return, after all expenses, of at least twice the Bank of England Bank Rate. The Company predominantly invests in internationally listed or quoted equities or equity-related securities (including convertibles) or bonds which are issued by corporate issuers, supra-nationals or government organizations. The Company’s strategy is to create a balanced portfolio of offsetting assets which in aggregate are intended to enable the Company to meet its investment objectives. It invests across a range of assets, geographies and sectors to achieve its objectives. It uses derivatives, including futures, options, swap agreements, structured products, warrants and forward currency contracts, for efficient portfolio management purposes only.
