Polestar has published its Sustainability Report for 2023. The Swedish car brand continues to make significant progress on its climate targets, achieving a reduction of 9% in relative greenhouse gas emissions per sold car in 2023. This equates to a reduction of 3.4 tCO2e compared to 2022, achieved by focusing on three main areas: using carefully chosen materials with lower climate impact, renewable electricity in car and battery production, and energy efficiency in the use phase. The achievements in 2023 and future ambitions illustrate that decoupling growth from increased emissions is possible. “Our vision is clear – we want to accelerate the EV transition while bringing in more sustainable and innovative solutions to improve electric cars. We need to acknowledge that our industry still has a huge potential for improvement in disclosing concrete plans for achieving its climate pledges,” says Polestars’ Head of Sustainability, Fredrika Klarén.

Q3 2023 Polestar news. release of new Polestar 3 and 4 through 2024/5 will increase manufacturing output to 160k vehicles pa by 2025. FY24 will have a slight slowdown, hence the $1.3b cash injection, which is needed in order to meet gross margin break even point scheduled for FY25. Concentrating for greater customer focused on the models that will be available during Q4 onwards. Polestar 2 volumes sales lower than originally forecast. Polestar 3 & 4 brought forward in production in order to promote models in FY24 & FY25, which management believe they will achieve their forecast volumes. Management are confident they will become profitable in FY25. Somewhat good news at the end of the rainbow it seems. Interesting times ahead for PSNY Stock. It looks like Q4 2024 results are one to watch out for moving with this stock?
