Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 1.44% or 0.42 points to trade at 29.68 at the close. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) added 1.08% or 2.00 points to end at 187.30 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 0.84% or 0.75 points to 89.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 3.49% or 4.80 points to trade at 132.70 in late trade. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 3.41% or 5.0 points to end at 141.6 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 3.05% or 2.30 points to 73.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 318 to 224 and 53 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.57% or 1.37 to $36.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 3.87% or 1.56 to hit $38.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.69% or 20.90 to trade at $1214.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 9.2385, while USD/SEK fell 0.03% to 8.1143.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.70.
