Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were mixed at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Services, Finance & Investment and Transport sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the Consumer Staples, Real Estate & Construction and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Dubai, the DFM General added 0.36%, while the ADX General index lost 0.29%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the DFM General were National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR), which rose 4.09% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.780 at the close. Dubai Islamic Insurance Co. (DU:AMAN) added 3.29% or 0.021 points to end at 0.660 and Gulf General Investments Company (DU:GGIC) was up 2.57% or 0.007 points to 0.279 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Dubai National Insurance (DU:DNIN), which lost 7.30% or 0.260 points to trade at 3.300 in late trade. Takaful House (DU:DTKF) declined 1.23% or 0.008 points to end at 0.641 and DXB Entertainments (P.J.S.C.) (DU:DXBE) shed 1.06% or 0.004 points to 0.375.

The top performers on the ADX General were Gulf Cement Co (AD:GCEM) which rose 7.53% to 1.0000, Dana Gas (AD:DANA) which was up 3.85% to settle at 1.080 and Gulf Medical Projects Co PSC (AD:GMPC) which gained 2.86% to close at 1.80.

The worst performers were National Marine Dredging PSC (AD:NMDC) which was down 10.00% to 2.520 in late trade, Ad Natl Energy (AD:TAQA) which lost 9.23% to settle at 1.180 and Rak Cement Co (AD:RKCC) which was down 4.11% to 0.700 at the close.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 14 fell and 9 advanced, while 7 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.18% or 0.84 to $70.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.62% or 0.48 to hit $76.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 4.10 to trade at $1318.20 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was up 0.01% to 3.6732, while EUR/AED rose 0.23% to 4.3868.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 92.44.
