Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Finance & Investment and Real Estate & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General gained 0.14%, while the ADX General index gained 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DFM General were SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA), which rose 10.76% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.750 at the close. Union Properties PJSC (DU:UPRO) added 9.77% or 0.073 points to end at 0.820 and Amanat Holdings PJSC (DU:AMANT) was up 5.95% or 0.055 points to 0.980 in late trade.
Biggest losers included National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR), which lost 4.10% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.870 in late trade. Marka Pjse (DU:MARKA) declined 3.51% or 0.04 points to end at 1.10 and Emirates NBD PJSC (DU:ENBD) shed 3.13% or 0.250 points to 7.750.
The top performers on the ADX General were Rak Cement Co (AD:RKCC) which rose 5.56% to 0.760, Eshraq Properties Co PJSC (AD:ESHR) which was up 5.26% to settle at 1.2000 and Rak Properties (AD:RPRO) which gained 4.69% to close at 0.670.
The worst performers were Green Crs Ins (AD:GCIC) which was down 9.23% to 0.590 in late trade, Gulf Pharm Ind (AD:GPHI) which lost 4.89% to settle at 2.140 and Ad Aviation (AD:ADAV) which was down 3.33% to 2.900 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 16 and 1 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 11 rose and 10 declined, while 6 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.81% or 0.84 to $47.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.88% or 0.88 to hit $47.74 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.30 to trade at $1214.00 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was up 0.00% to 3.6731, while EUR/AED rose 0.33% to 3.9016.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 101.17.
