Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Services and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General added 0.03%, while the ADX General index added 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DFM General were National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR), which rose 4.61% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.590 at the close. Arabtec Holding PJSC (DU:ARTC) added 3.26% or 0.060 points to end at 1.900 and Islamic Arab Insurance Company (DU:SALAMA) was up 2.62% or 0.016 points to 0.627 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Emaar Malls (DU:EMAA), which lost 2.73% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.780 in late trade. Amanat Holdings PJSC (DU:AMANT) declined 2.56% or 0.030 points to end at 1.140 and Gulf General Investments Company (DU:GGIC) shed 1.85% or 0.005 points to 0.266.
The top performers on the ADX General were International Holding Company PJSC (AD:IHC) which rose 1.69% to 1.20, Gulf Cement Co (AD:GCEM) which was up 1.09% to settle at 0.9300 and Ad Commercial (AD:ADCB) which gained 0.90% to close at 7.82.
The worst performers were United Arab Bk (AD:UAB) which was down 9.60% to 1.130 in late trade, Arkan Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:ARKN) which lost 2.01% to settle at 0.5360 and Nat Bk Qaiwain (AD:NBQ) which was down 2.00% to 2.45 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 15 fell and 5 advanced, while 5 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.61% or 0.44 to $72.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.93% or 0.75 to hit $81.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1204.60 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was unchanged 0.00% to 3.6732, while EUR/AED rose 0.13% to 4.3207.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 93.77.
