Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Basic Metals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 2.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which rose 4.35% or 2.95 points to trade at 70.70 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 4.07% or 0.540 points to end at 13.820 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) was up 2.89% or 0.360 points to 12.830 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which lost 20.00% or 1.210 points to trade at 4.840 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 19.97% or 1.490 points to end at 5.970 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) shed 19.85% or 1.030 points to 4.160.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 335 to 49 and 23 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.88% or 11.38 to $1279.02 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.38% or 0.18 to hit $47.41 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.21 to trade at $50.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.33% to 3.5368, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 4.1517.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 93.72.
