Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Textile & Leather and Tourism sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.06% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:BTCIM), which rose 7.56% or 15.50 points to trade at 220.50 at the close. Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CIMSA) added 4.18% or 1.40 points to end at 34.90 and Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) was up 3.81% or 1.80 points to 49.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kayseri Seker Fabrikasi AS (IS:KAYSE), which lost 9.33% or 2.46 points to trade at 23.90 in late trade. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 6.92% or 1.70 points to end at 22.86 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) shed 6.72% or 1.90 points to 26.36.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 457 to 103 and 15 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% or 2.55 to $2,548.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.01% or 2.25 to hit $77.08 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.43% or 1.90 to trade at $80.05 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 34.01, while EUR/TRY fell 0.19% to 37.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.73.
