Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which rose 3.21% or 7.30 points to trade at 234.40 at the close. Astor Enerji AS (IS:ASTOR) added 3.18% or 3.20 points to end at 103.80 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was up 2.94% or 32.00 points to 1,119.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which lost 5.48% or 1.38 points to trade at 23.82 in late trade. Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE) declined 5.37% or 12.60 points to end at 222.00 and Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji AS (IS:AKFYE) shed 4.93% or 1.40 points to 27.02.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 371 to 184 and 16 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.58% or 13.55 to $2,330.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.29% or 0.24 to hit $81.39 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.35 to trade at $84.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.16% to 32.97, while EUR/TRY fell 0.09% to 35.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 105.33.
