Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Sports and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS), which rose 9.93% or 0.41 points to trade at 4.54 at the close. Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LMKDC) added 5.06% or 1.18 points to end at 24.48 and Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:OBAMS) was up 4.86% or 1.58 points to 34.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which lost 6.48% or 39.50 points to trade at 570.00 in late trade. 1000 Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:BINHO) declined 5.81% or 23.75 points to end at 385.00 and Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) shed 3.21% or 16.50 points to 497.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 318 to 231 and 30 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.06% or 27.70 to $2,642.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.44% or 0.31 to hit $70.85 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.57% or 0.43 to trade at $74.45 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.27% to 34.12, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 38.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 100.61.
