Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Basic Metals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN), which rose 6.01% or 18.70 points to trade at 329.90 at the close. Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) added 4.65% or 0.36 points to end at 8.11 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 3.75% or 1.20 points to 33.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which lost 5.46% or 1.84 points to trade at 31.86 in late trade. Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) declined 5.15% or 0.300 points to end at 5.520 and Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) shed 4.04% or 0.790 points to 18.750.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 239 to 129 and 40 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.23% or 16.00 to $1321.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.89% or 0.54 to hit $60.45 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.55% or 0.35 to trade at $63.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.32% to 3.8183, while EUR/TRY rose 0.63% to 4.7004.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 90.01.
