Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Technology and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which rose 3.90% or 7.50 points to trade at 199.90 at the close. Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS:TURSG) added 2.50% or 0.30 points to end at 12.29 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 2.44% or 0.94 points to 39.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which lost 5.89% or 3.30 points to trade at 52.70 in late trade. Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) declined 4.10% or 1.12 points to end at 26.20 and BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) shed 3.93% or 22.00 points to 538.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 350 to 204 and 23 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.37% or 10.00 to $2,694.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.31% or 1.61 to hit $68.08 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.03% or 1.48 to trade at $71.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 34.16, while EUR/TRY rose 0.47% to 38.19.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 100.25.
