Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL), which rose 5.81% or 18.00 points to trade at 327.75 at the close. ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) added 5.67% or 2.95 points to end at 55.00 and Bera Holding AS (IS:BERA) was up 5.42% or 0.73 points to 14.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which lost 9.99% or 1.49 points to trade at 13.43 in late trade. Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL) declined 9.97% or 4.66 points to end at 42.10 and Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) shed 8.30% or 42.25 points to 466.75.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 422 to 141 and 16 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.39% or 10.25 to $2,607.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.81% or 0.55 to hit $68.59 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.78% or 0.56 to trade at $72.39 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 34.37, while EUR/TRY fell 0.25% to 36.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 105.89.
