Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which rose 5.41% or 2.54 points to trade at 49.52 at the close. Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) added 4.96% or 0.72 points to end at 15.24 and Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS:GESAN) was up 4.29% or 2.10 points to 51.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO), which lost 3.58% or 40.00 points to trade at 1,077.00 in late trade. MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) declined 2.79% or 10.50 points to end at 366.00 and AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL) shed 2.44% or 8.25 points to 330.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 338 to 221 and 20 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.09% or 2.35 to $2,570.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.19% or 0.82 to hit $67.88 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.13% or 0.82 to trade at $71.74 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.30% to 34.42, while EUR/TRY rose 0.06% to 36.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 106.75.
