Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which rose 3.10% or 0.70 points to trade at 23.28 at the close. Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK) added 2.91% or 1.28 points to end at 45.24 and BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) was up 2.63% or 15.00 points to 585.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB), which lost 5.21% or 0.65 points to trade at 11.82 in late trade. Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) declined 4.82% or 10.40 points to end at 205.50 and Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) shed 4.77% or 24.00 points to 479.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 371 to 194 and 14 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.36% or 9.60 to $2,655.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.59% or 0.42 to hit $70.58 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.47% or 0.35 to trade at $73.34 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 34.13, while EUR/TRY fell 0.25% to 38.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 100.49.
