Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Tourism, Technology and Information Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which rose 0.66% or 0.50 points to trade at 75.90 at the close. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) added 0.15% or 0.04 points to end at 26.04 and Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 31.94 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which lost 7.76% or 0.500 points to trade at 5.940 in late trade. Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ) declined 7.38% or 0.090 points to end at 1.130 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) shed 7.27% or 0.910 points to 11.600.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 333 to 42 and 29 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.46% or 6.20 to $1341.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.31% or 0.20 to hit $64.50 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.11 to trade at $69.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.25% to 3.7969, while EUR/TRY rose 1.85% to 4.6594.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 90.19.
