Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Transport and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.58% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA), which rose 9.38% or 0.410 points to trade at 4.780 at the close. Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) added 9.11% or 6.90 points to end at 82.65 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) was up 8.82% or 3.12 points to 38.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which lost 4.71% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.820 in late trade. Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) declined 2.77% or 0.070 points to end at 2.460 and Ayen Enerji AS (IS:AYEN) shed 2.57% or 0.130 points to 4.930.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 243 to 104 and 56 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.36% or 4.61 to $1273.81 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.06% or 0.59 to hit $56.23 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.58% or 0.98 to trade at $63.05 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.21% to 3.8400, while EUR/TRY fell 1.40% to 4.4504.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.89.
