Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Electricity and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE), which rose 10.00% or 15.50 points to trade at 170.50 at the close. Smart Gunes Enerjisi Teknolojileri Arastirma Gelistirme Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret (IS:SMRTG) added 10.00% or 3.40 points to end at 37.40 and Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:EUPWR) was up 9.98% or 2.58 points to 28.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT), which lost 3.16% or 63.00 points to trade at 1,930.00 in late trade. Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) declined 1.54% or 7.50 points to end at 479.00 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) shed 1.41% or 0.08 points to 5.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 450 to 113 and 15 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.60% or 16.45 to $2,755.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.47% or 1.73 to hit $71.77 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.22% or 1.65 to trade at $75.94 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.42% to 34.24, while EUR/TRY fell 0.01% to 37.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 103.83.
