Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Transport and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.91%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL), which rose 6.04% or 5.50 points to trade at 96.50 at the close. Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) added 5.94% or 12.40 points to end at 221.00 and Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS:OYAKC) was up 5.59% or 3.65 points to 68.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL), which lost 2.12% or 0.56 points to trade at 25.80 in late trade. Kayseri Seker Fabrikasi AS (IS:KAYSE) declined 1.92% or 0.46 points to end at 23.44 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) shed 1.64% or 1.05 points to 63.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 338 to 214 and 23 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.19% or 4.95 to $2,550.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.72% or 1.33 to hit $76.09 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.54% or 1.24 to trade at $79.12 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.18% to 34.03, while EUR/TRY rose 0.09% to 37.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.66.
