Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Tourism and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which rose 11.03% or 0.160 points to trade at 1.610 at the close. Selcuk Ecza Deposu Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:SELEC) added 6.73% or 0.230 points to end at 3.650 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was up 4.29% or 1.240 points to 30.120 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM), which lost 4.07% or 0.27 points to trade at 6.37 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 2.50% or 0.32 points to end at 12.50 and Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) shed 2.09% or 0.44 points to 20.64.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 246 to 108 and 50 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.11 to $1278.19 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.01% or 0.53 to hit $51.94 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.74% or 0.43 to trade at $57.90 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 3.7473, while EUR/TRY rose 0.51% to 4.4249.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 93.57.
