Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Sports, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK), which rose 9.97% or 17.00 points to trade at 187.50 at the close. Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT) added 7.17% or 1.18 points to end at 17.63 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) was up 6.77% or 7.10 points to 112.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN), which lost 7.15% or 3.44 points to trade at 44.70 in late trade. Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) declined 4.67% or 395.00 points to end at 8,055.00 and Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN) shed 3.32% or 1.18 points to 34.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.50% or 11.65 to $2,340.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.15% or 0.92 to hit $80.64 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.12% or 0.94 to trade at $85.19 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.63% to 32.58, while EUR/TRY fell 0.62% to 34.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.93.
