Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Insurance, Telecoms and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL), which rose 6.88% or 2.42 points to trade at 37.62 at the close. Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) added 6.49% or 0.10 points to end at 1.64 and Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS:GESAN) was up 6.03% or 2.85 points to 50.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which lost 3.80% or 15.75 points to trade at 398.25 in late trade. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) declined 3.28% or 67.00 points to end at 1,975.00 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) shed 3.13% or 9.25 points to 286.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 420 to 139 and 19 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.23% or 33.46 to $2,675.94 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.94% or 0.66 to hit $70.68 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.71% or 0.52 to trade at $73.93 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.23% to 34.95, while EUR/TRY rose 0.47% to 36.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 106.76.
