Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Sports sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CIMSA), which rose 8.26% or 2.50 points to trade at 32.78 at the close. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) added 6.35% or 6.15 points to end at 103.00 and Astor Enerji AS (IS:ASTOR) was up 5.23% or 3.85 points to 77.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO), which lost 5.90% or 11.90 points to trade at 189.90 in late trade. Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) declined 2.17% or 16.00 points to end at 721.50 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) shed 2.00% or 1.55 points to 76.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 363 to 183 and 33 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 5.10 to $2,754.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.14% or 1.50 to hit $71.69 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.02% or 1.50 to trade at $75.88 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.20% to 34.29, while EUR/TRY rose 0.21% to 37.17.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 103.96.
