Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.15% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE), which rose 10.00% or 20.80 points to trade at 228.80 at the close. Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT) added 10.00% or 1.81 points to end at 19.91 and Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) was up 7.23% or 12.00 points to 178.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN), which lost 4.76% or 2.00 points to trade at 40.00 in late trade. Qua Granite Hayal Yapi ve Urunleri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:QUAGR) declined 4.65% or 0.16 points to end at 3.28 and Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) shed 4.22% or 2.35 points to 53.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 303 to 252 and 15 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.51% or 12.15 to $2,386.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.53% or 0.42 to hit $78.22 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.50% or 0.41 to trade at $82.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.33% to 32.91, while EUR/TRY fell 0.39% to 35.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 104.10.
