Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.49% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 3.46% or 2.9 points to trade at 85.6 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) added 2.12% or 4.2 points to end at 200.3 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 1.41% or 0.57 points to 41.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 14.90% or 34.04 points to trade at 194.36 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.47% or 1.33 points to end at 36.98 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) shed 3.11% or 4.40 points to 137.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 336 to 299 and 50 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.35% or 0.90 to $67.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.73% or 0.56 to hit $77.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1231.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 10.3596, while USD/SEK rose 0.76% to 9.0940.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 96.14.
