Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 3.46% or 3.3 points to trade at 98.1 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 2.91% or 6.40 points to end at 226.30 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 1.56% or 7.5 points to 488.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which lost 2.59% or 3.5 points to trade at 133.3 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.91% or 0.83 points to end at 42.52 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 1.35% or 3.55 points to 258.45.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 350 to 262 and 64 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.75% or 1.20 to $67.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.22% or 1.65 to hit $72.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 5.30 to trade at $1218.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.08% to 10.2707, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 8.8055.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 94.46.
