Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 3.66% or 7.4 points to trade at 209.6 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 3.43% or 7.7 points to end at 231.9 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 3.20% or 2.85 points to 91.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which lost 1.38% or 1.60 points to trade at 114.10 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 1.22% or 7.0 points to end at 566.5 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) shed 0.75% or 1.3 points to 171.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 299 to 128 and 8 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.42% or 1.05 to $42.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.44% or 0.72 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.72% or 8.10 to trade at $1115.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 1.35% to 9.4590, while USD/SEK fell 1.14% to 8.4902.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 96.47.
