Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 9.03% or 9.40 points to trade at 113.45 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) added 3.20% or 7.3 points to end at 235.7 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was up 3.08% or 6.5 points to 216.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which lost 1.20% or 4.5 points to trade at 369.2 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 1.04% or 7.6 points to end at 725.3 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) shed 1.00% or 1.7 points to 165.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 371 to 259 and 47 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.52% or 1.27 to $51.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.76% or 1.63 to hit $60.67 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1228.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.00% to 10.3095, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 9.0938.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.933.
