Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.32% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 4.80% or 1.97 points to trade at 43.00 at the close. AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) added 4.06% or 6.9 points to end at 176.9 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.77% or 9.50 points to 261.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 1.92% or 4.0 points to trade at 204.4 in late trade. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 0.96% or 1.15 points to end at 119.10 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) shed 0.81% or 1.80 points to 221.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 396 to 226 and 56 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.38% or 0.94 to $68.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.05% or 0.77 to hit $73.83 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1224.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.41% to 10.3161, while USD/SEK fell 0.34% to 8.8298.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.40.
