Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.17% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb), which rose 1.19% or 6.4 points to trade at 542.0 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) added 0.94% or 2.9 points to end at 310.5 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 0.94% or 0.67 points to 71.81 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 2.21% or 0.95 points to trade at 42.07 in late trade. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 0.72% or 0.85 points to end at 116.75 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) shed 0.66% or 5.8 points to 879.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 336 to 287 and 63 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.83% or 2.65 to $66.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.42% or 2.55 to hit $72.10 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1217.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.48% to 10.3929, while USD/SEK rose 0.51% to 8.9605.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 95.04.
