Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.12% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which rose 2.09% or 0.95 points to trade at 46.31 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) added 1.86% or 2.3 points to end at 125.7 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 1.85% or 3.30 points to 182.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which lost 4.99% or 9.3 points to trade at 177.0 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.82% or 0.43 points to end at 23.19 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) shed 0.94% or 3.0 points to 315.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 362 to 350 and 99 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.98% or 0.99 to $50.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.37% or 1.32 to hit $57.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.43 to trade at $1275.37 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 9.5283, while USD/SEK rose 0.53% to 8.1387.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 93.74.
