Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 1.31% or 8.9 points to trade at 688.2 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 1.19% or 9.2 points to end at 783.6 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 1.04% or 1.00 points to 97.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 3.81% or 4.1 points to trade at 103.5 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.92% or 0.88 points to end at 45.01 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 1.68% or 1.90 points to 110.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 338 to 289 and 63 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.62% or 0.45 to $71.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.28% or 0.23 to hit $81.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.10 to trade at $1199.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.09% to 10.3585, while USD/SEK rose 0.06% to 8.8132.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.81.
