Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.02% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 2.35% or 2.5 points to trade at 109.0 at the close. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) added 2.15% or 4.5 points to end at 214.0 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) was up 1.72% or 5.0 points to 295.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 2.66% or 6.90 points to trade at 252.85 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 2.44% or 5.0 points to end at 199.5 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) shed 2.26% or 3.60 points to 155.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 328 to 320 and 48 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.28% or 0.19 to $67.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $74.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 8.10 to trade at $1195.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.34% to 10.5483, while USD/SEK rose 0.58% to 9.1193.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 95.37.
