Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Services, Trading and Investment Trust sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) added 33.33% or 0.100 points to end at 0.400 and Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) was up 20.00% or 0.100 points to 0.600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Samson International PLC (CM:SIL), which lost 20.31% or 19.40 points to trade at 76.10 in late trade. Palm Garden Hotels PLC (CM:PALM) declined 16.21% or 4.10 points to end at 21.20 and Autodrome PLC (CM:AUTO) shed 14.77% or 13.00 points to 75.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 87 and 56 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.06% or 0.04 to $72.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.22% or 0.18 to hit $81.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1187.70 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.44% to 220.800, while USD/LKR fell 0.03% to 169.210.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 94.88.
