Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Plantations and Hotels & Travel sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Radiant Gems International PLC (CM:RGEM) added 21.36% or 4.40 points to end at 25.00 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 20.00% or 0.1000 points to 0.6000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sinhaputhra Finance PLC (CM:SFL), which lost 10.71% or 1.20 points to trade at 10.00 in late trade. Paragon Ceylon PLC (CM:PARA) declined 10.62% or 6.00 points to end at 50.50 and Swarnamahal Financial Services PLC (CM:SWAR) shed 9.52% or 0.200 points to 1.900.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 88 and 41 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.67% or 1.18 to $69.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.84% or 1.45 to hit $77.34 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1305.00 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.18% to 211.060, while USD/LKR rose 0.01% to 158.010.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 93.74.
